Another week goes by, another really cool unique and rare sunglass is highlighted on the hit HBO series Entourage.  Vince (played by Adrian Grenier) was wearing very cool Modern Amusement“22s” sunglasses.  This metal aviator style sunglass features leather wrapped temples and is very light weight.   Modern Amusement sunglasses are designed by Shane Baum who is also the designer for the funky Paul Frank Eyewear brand, as well as the cult following Original Penguin brand.

Another really cool and virtually unknown sunglass was shown on episode 35 on the award winning HBO series “Entourage”.  Vince (played by Adrian Grenier) was wearing Original Penguin by Munsingwear “Belize” sunglass. This model  is a very cool, and reto aviator that has been a big topic of conversation by people trying to figure out just what sunglass this was! 

Ivanka Trump was out with friends shopping in New York City this weekend wearing Tom Ford’s “Hutton” sunglass. The color of this sunglass is one of my favorites and has a brown horn acetate frame with rose gold inserts and dark brown gradient lenses.   

We can always count of some of the greatest shades showing up weekly on the award winning HBO series “Entourage”.  This past week had cast member Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) wearing the new Oliver Peoples “Commodore” while hunting down his screen writing who was hiding.  The Commodore is an updated or more modern aviator with slightly smaller lens that the crazy popular “Strummer”. 

Actress Rebecca Romijn was out shopping for outdoor furniture with her new husband (Jerry O’Connell), wearing Oliver Peoples “Strummer”.  This same sunglass has been a current favorite of Angelina Jolie which has been just about everywhere wearing this beautiful aviator style sunglass. Rebecca currently stars in ABC’s hit comedy Ugly Betty.

Actress Katherine Heigl was shopping in Brentwood this weekend wearing the Dolce & Gabbana 4015 sunglass.  This frame has a very unique design with the temples flowing off the front of the frame from the bottom. Katherine is known for her roles on the TV series Grey’s Anatomy and Roswell as well as in the film Knocked Up.

Tilda Swinton was at the 61st Edinburgh International Film Festival in Scotland this past weekend wearing the very hard to find Prada PR 04FS sunglass.  This frame has a very unique Cinnamon brown color with a white accent.

Actress Elizabeth Berkley was going to the gym in New York City this weekend wearing Ralph Lauren’s 8004 sunglass.  Elizabeth is best known for her roles on the television series Saved by the Bell and the 1995 film Showgirls.

Tom Ford’s sunglasses have made a major impact on high fashion eyewear world even though the line is still very new. Actress Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives) was seen this past weekend shopping in Beverly Hills wearing the very popular Tom Ford’s Jennifer (FT0008) sunglass.  This model is sometimes confused with the oversized and somewhat similar mode “Whitney”.   The Jennifer sunglass has been Marcia’s favorite sunglass this summer and is never seen without them.

Hayden Panettiere was out this weekend wearing the retro Oakley “Supreme Frogskins” in the special edition, and ultra rare, white frame with “Bronze Iridium” lens.  This version of the frame was one of the first Oakley sunglasses released back in 1984 and was very popular and manufacture for over 10 years.  The Frogskin design changed over the years and most significantly in 1996 when Oakley redesigned this sunglass and changed the name to “New Frogskin” introducing more wrap and a more sporty look.  The sunglass Hayden is wearing is a reproduction of that original Forgskin retro look. Oakley re-released this frame on a very limited production basis under the name “Supreme Frogskin”. 

Naomie Watts was out shopping for groceries at Country Martin wearing Oliver Peoples “Specialist” sunglass. This frame is one of their harder to get sunglasses

Eva Longoria was out for coffee with friends in Brentwood this weekend wearing the very popular Fendi 384R sunglass.  This model is part of the Fendi Buckle series that was inspired from the buckle handbag.

Actress Keri Russell was at the beach with her family this week wearing the RayBan 4068 sunglass.  This frame is one of the larger glass lens RayBan sunglasses that offers a polarized lens which is very popular.   Keri is a Golden Globe-winning American actress and dancer. After appearing in a number of made-for-television films and series during the mid-1990s, she came to fame for portraying the title role of Felicity Porter on the series Felicity, which ran from 1998 to 2002. Russell has since appeared in several films, including We Were Soldiers, The Upside of Anger, Mission: Impossible III and Waitress.

Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal was vacationing with Bruce Willis this past weekend in St. Tropez. Karen was seen on the beach walking wearing her favorite sunglasses, Bvlgari 652B. This beautiful sunglass has the extraordinary three flower Swarovski crystal arrangement.  I can’t tell you how many customers have said this model is just too “over the top” with bling for them.  Only later to be mesmerized at just how amazing this sunglass looks on them!  It truly is a sunglass that has to be seen “on” to really appreciate it beauty.

Angelina Jolie was out with her son Maddox this weekend shopping at Borders Bookstore in Chicago wearing her favorite Oliver Peoples “Strummer” sunglasses.  Angelina was wearing this sunglass exclusively over the past several months, until she started wearing a Dolce & Gabbana model.  This weekend Angelina was back to her favorite “Strummer” sunglasses.  This frame was back-ordered for months this spring, but we received a new shipment of these sunglasses just last week!

Actress Jill Hennessy was attending the Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge in New York this past weekend wearing the very hard to get Prada 04FS sunglass. 

Eva Longoria was out shopping at Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood this past weekend wearing the very chic Gucci2772 sunglass.  This model is one of the summer 2007 releases that feature the Gucci chain designed temples.

The long awaited, and never really expected, reunion/new band Van Halen made their 2007 Tour announcement at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles yesterday wearing the very Italian look of Persol sunglasses.  David Lee Roth was wearing the great looking Persol2808 in the tortoise color, while Alex Van Halen was wearing the classic Italian Persol2833 sunglass.

Angelina Jolie was seen taking were children to school wearing Dolce & Gabbana’s 6035 sunglass.  This frame is very new release, that in fact is currently only available in Europe.  The sunglass should be released to the US market in the next 30 days, and rest assured, Sunglass Superstore will be one of the first to have it in stock.

Actress Bridget Moynahan was out at breakfast in Los Angeles yesterday wearing the very cool Mosley Tribe “Alliance” sunglass.  The sunglass she is wearing has the “Chrome Amber” lens which is photochromic, or changes in various light conditions.  When cloudy or inside of a building this lens will be very light in color and will automatically change to a much darker tint when out in direct sunlight, like the picture.
