I want to first thank all the people who have written me over the past couple months praising the blog and wanting me back posting!  I really do appreciate all the emails and notes, it has beenquite overwhelming and gratifying to know so many people love and appreciated the blog.

There has been many, many changes at the store.  First (and the most obvious) is the new name, Sunglass Optic Studio.  Over the past few years the old name really no longer told the real story of the store as we have established ourselves as the most influential sunglass boutique in Las Vegas offering the highest quality sunglass brands.

Also, I have the great pleasure of introducing a new partner and Licensed Optician to the business, Mr. Daren Gray.  Daren has been recongnized as “the” most influencial optical person in the Las Vegas eyewear scene over the past years. Daren has been responsible and instrumental in being the first to offer many brands and different lens option to the local scene.  With some recent amazing technological changes in lenses, we are now able to offer prescription lenses in the vast majority of our enormous inventory.  We now can offer lenses that previously were not possible, and what other opticals say can’t be done. For example, Sunglass Optic Studio was the first Beta Testers in Nevada for Maui Jim’s latest lens technology”MauiPassport”, their new most advanced digitally surfaced lenses.  In fact, we are the only optical shop offering the new MauiPassport lenses in the City of Las Vegas.

With all the exciting changes happening we have never been more thrilled and motivated to be “the” sunglass and optical shop in the area.
