Brad Pitt was signing autographs yesterday as he arrived for the screening of the movie “Burn After Reading” directed by Ethan and Joel Coen during the 65th Venice International Film Festival at the Venice Lido. Brad was wearing the new Tom Ford  ”Hunter” sunglass which is destined to very popular this fall with its classic lines and smaller tubular shaped temples. Brad is wearing the shiny Rose Gold frame color with yellow Tortoise temples and brown lens.

Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric were enjoying the day boating in Croatia yesterday. Adriana was wearing the classy Persol“2805″ sunglass while Marko was wearing RayBan “3293″ avaitor styled sunglass.

Marko is a Serbian professional basketball player currently playing for the NBA team “Memphis Grizzlies“. Marko  played on the Serbian national team when they won the 2002 World Basketball Championships, and he was also a member of the 1998 gold medal-winning Under-22 European Championship team. He is the only player ever to win back-to-back Italian League Championships on two different teams. He won it in 2000 with Paf Bologna and in 2001 with Kinder Bologna.

Geri Halliwell was taking her daughter for a stroll in London over the past weekend wearing the sexy aviator style of Roberto Cavalli RC 299 sunglass.  Geri first became famous in the late 1990s as a member of the girl group the Spice Girls, which became one of the most successfull girl groups of all time, selling in excess of 55 million records worldwide. RayBans were initially created in 1937 after lieutenant John MacCready had returned from a balloon flying adventure in 1920. He complained that the sun had done permanent damage to his eyes. On May 7, 1937 Bausch & Lomb officially took out the patent for the prototype, known as Anti-Glare, consisted of an extremely light frame weighing 150 grams. They gained instant success when General Douglas MacArthur landed on the beach in the Philippines in the Second World War. Photographers snapped several pictures of him wearing them for newspapers, and Americans instantly fell in love with them.   In 1999 Bausch & Lomb sold the brand to the Italian Luxottica Group and moved manufacturing from the USA to Italy.

Actress Mena Suvari was on Main Street, Park City Utah last week at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival taking some pictures for herself wearing Diesel’s 0071 sunglass. Mena’s hair is definitely growing back quickly since she shaved her hair in June while shooting a movie adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s Garden of Eden in Spain. In the film, she plays a beautiful bored newlywed who falls for a sultry Italian girl while she is honeymooning in Europe. Suvari says she fulfilled a long-standing ambition by losing her hair. She explained: “I was really excited to get to shave my head – it’s something I’d wanted to do for a while and now I had a good excuse. It was nice to shed that level of vanity for a girl.”

Cher was in West Hollywood yesterday with her daughter Chastity Bono wearing Chrome Hearts Red sunglass. This beautiful aviator styled sunglass continues to be one of the most popular in the Chrome Hearts line.

Although no official annoucement had been made, it is still widely believed that Cher will be appearing in Las Vegas sometime during 2008-09 as a replacement performer for Celine Dion, along with Elton John and Bette Midler who’ve both been officially announced as rotating headliners. Rumors regarding Cher’s involvement have been circulating since late 2006 and in the Fall of 2007 several sources began reporting that negotiations were near finalization or had been possibly finalized. An official announcement is still awaited.

Cher is expected to begin recording her new album in the first quarter of 2008 for a release in the third, or more likely fourth quarter. Cher has been preparing this record since her Farewell Tour and selected it’s material from a large pool of songwriters spanning a multitude of styles, including country. This will be Cher’s first release under her new contract with Warner Bros Records. Cher was previously signed to the UK/European arm of Warner Bros (WEA) during her ‘dance reinvention’ but was dropped by WB’s UK label following the release of “Living Proof” in 2002. The US division of WBR signed Cher to a new contract not long after.

Orlando Bloom was in Patan, Napal  during his travel with UNICEF yesterday visting the temples of Swayamhu also known as the Monkey temple.  The above picture shows Orlando wearing the Persol2862S sunglass in the “light Havana” frame color which is stunning with its texture and colors. Superstar Reese Witherspoon was out shopping yesterdat at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills wearing Mosley Tribes’ “Aviatrix” sunglass. This sunglass has a modern twist to the aviator style and is a great woman’s frame.  Reese is a huge fan of the Mosley Tribes brand, as well as their parent company Oliver Peoples.  The model she is wearing has the “Chrome Amber” lens which is photochromatic and adjusted to various light conditions.

Jake Gyllenhaal visited the “Late Show with David Letterman” at Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on Monday wearing the Mosley Tribes “Pilot”sunglass. Jake was promoting his next film,  Rendition, which he stars opposite Meryl Streep, Alan Arkin, and Reese Witherspoon. The film is a Gavin Hood directed political thriller about the U.S. policy of extraordinary rendition. The famous German supermodel, actress, TV presenter, fashion designer, television producer and singer (wow she’s got a lot going on!) Heidi Klum was spotted this past weekend at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood wearing Tom Ford’s retro styled aviator “Hawkings”.  This model was Tom’s first sunglass and given the moniker model “TF0001″. The unique feature of this model is that it has two sets of lens; one set with framed lenses (as she is wearing) and an additional rimless set. The Hawkings sunglass’ origin dates back to the classic Porsche Design model from the 70’s.
