Here’s a photo from last month that had slipped through the cracks!  Sophia Bush was in Beverly Hills, California on her way to a photo shoot at Smashbox Studios in Culver City wearing the new Emilio Pucci 608s Sunglass. Sophia is perhaps best known for her role as Brooke Davis in the series One Tree Hill and for portraying Grace Andrews in the horror remake The Hitcher . However, her first big break was an appearance in the comedy Van Wilder as Sally (the freshman who seduces Van and doesn’t know who Air Supply is).

Emilio Pucci was the kingpin of textile reinvention and beautiful prints in the 1950’s and 1960’s. His designs revolutionized the world of fashion, knocking the previous trend of dull colors and heavy fabrics on its ear and developing a fan following that was almost unheard of at the time. Today, original Emilio Pucci  prints from that time period are highly collectable items, and the current line of Emilio Pucci clothing is still in high demand. Emilio’s daughter Laudomia took over as head designer upon her father’s death in  1992, followed by several others. Today Pucci features celebrated fashion designer Christian LaCroix, who has taken the brand and revitalized it by using vintage Emilio Pucci  prints combined with new styles.

Celebrity Coleen McLoughlin was out by the pool this weekend wearing the fantastic new Emilio Pucci605S” sunglass. Emilio Pucci clothes and accessories are sold through Emilio Pucci and Rossignolboutiques worldwide and in high-end department stores, mostly feature the designer’s original brightly coloured, often swirly, prints or new designs in his original distinct style. The fashion house produces ready-to-wear clothes and accessories for women, in addition to a small range of men’s accessories. The Pucci brand become very popular in the 1950’s and Marilyn Monroe was buried with one of his dresses, and his designs were worn by everyone from Sophia Loren to Jackie Kennedy. After Emilio’s death in 1992 his daughter, Laudomia Pucci, continued to design under the Pucci name. The French Louis Vuitton-Moet-Hennessy Group luxury goods empire acquired 67% of Pucci in 2000. Laudomia became Image Director, whilst LVMH brought in major designers such as Christian Lacroix (creative director 2002-5), and in October 2005, Matthew Williamson. Other designers who have worked for the label include Stephan Janson and Julio Espada. Â
