Michelle Trachtenberg was leaving lunch at Porto Via in Beverly Hills yesterday wearing the fantastic Gucci “GG 3017” sunglass. Michelle made the “A” guest list for the 21st birthday party of Zac Efron last night. The event was reportedly organised by Efron’s girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. Other guests besides Michelle included Monique Coleman, Ashley Tisdale, Aly and AJ Michalka, and Brittany Snow. Efron’s presents reportedly included bottles of liquor, which marked him becoming the legal age to drink alcohol.  The party left the Italian eatery before midnight, but apparently continued partying at a nearby hotel with a selection of close friends.

 

With all the post about his wife Katie Holmes, we thought it only logically to post a picture of her other half.  Tom Cruise was in New York with his family this past weekend wearing the very Italian influenced Gucci 1585 sunglass.  Tom rocked audiences last week in the new movie “Tropic Thunder” with his cameo as a profane, hip-jiggling, Machiavellian movie chief.  The role was designed to show the world — and Hollywood insiders — that the one-time king of Hollywood didn’t take himself too seriously and even had comedic chops.

Mariah Carey was at the Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique in Beverly Hills Tuesday wearing the beautiful Gucci 2969S sunglass. This frame features classy bamboo temple treatments over the classic Gucci horse-bit design. Mariah signed a licensing deal with the cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden last year and release the fragrance, “M”. According to Forbes, Mariah was the sixth richest woman in entertainment as of January 2007, with an estimated net worth of US $225 million.

English actress Martine McCutcheon was enjoying her vacation at a beach in Barbados yesterday wearing the new beautiful Gucci 2986S sunglass.  A couple of interesting details about Martine is that she was a bridesmaid to Liza Minnelli at her wedding to David Gest in 2002.  She also played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady in London’s West End. Despite being plagued by health problems during her run, she won the award for best actress in a musical at the 2002 Laurence Olivier Awards. However, Martine gave only the minimum number of performances in My Fair Lady to qualify for the Olivier award. Her understudy gave the bulk of the performances. When her name was read out at the ceremony her costar Jonathan Pryce was so shocked he simply put his head in his hands and shook his head rather than make the effort to applaud her. Footage of this behaviour is now used by Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to teach aspiring actors how to not respond at an awards ceremony.

Katie Holmes was in Washington DC yesterday wearing the Gucci 2931 sunglass in the unique Cyclamen Glitter frame color with Burgundy gradient lenses.  Cyclamen is a beautiful flowering plant that is native to the Mediterranean area.

It seems that Angelina Jolie has been getting a lot of attention on our blog lately, and for good reason.  She has impeccable fashion style and always seems to have sunglasses that are fantastic for her. She currently has been wearing between 2 and 3 different sunglasses a month, wearing one style pretty consistently for a week or two at most.  Last week she was at the United Nations building in New York City wearing the bold aviator from Gucci, 2785 sunglass.

Gucci’s 2007 line looks fantastic and their designers are really creating some incredible sunglasses.
